YOUTH

Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of
rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a
quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of
the deep springs of life.
Youth means a tempera-mental predominance of courage over timidity, of the
appetite for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of
60 more than a boy of 20. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We
grow old by deserting our ideals.
Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.
Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spring back to dust.
Whether 60 or 16, there is in every human being"s heart the lure of wonder,
the unfailing childlike appetite of what"s next and the joy of the game of
living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless
station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and
power from men and from the Infinite, so long are you young.
When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism
and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old, even at 20, but as long as
your aerials are up, to catch waves of optimism, there is hope you may die
young at 80.

青春不是年华，而是心境；青春不是桃面、丹唇、柔膝，而是深沉的意志，恢宏的想
象，炙热的恋情；青春是生命的深泉在涌流。
青春气贯长虹，勇锐盖过怯弱，进取压倒苟安。如此锐气，二十后生而有之，六旬男子
则更多见。年岁有加，并非垂老，理想丢弃，方堕暮年。
岁月悠悠，衰微只及肌肤；热忱抛却，颓废必致灵魂。忧烦，惶恐，丧失自信，定使心
灵扭曲，意气如灰。
无论年届花甲，拟或二八芳龄，心中皆有生命之欢乐，奇迹之诱惑，孩童般天真久盛不
衰。人人心中皆有一台天线，只要你从天上人间接受美好、希望、欢乐、勇气和力量的
信号，你就青春永驻，风华常存。
一旦天线下降，锐气便被冰雪覆盖，玩世不恭、自暴自弃油然而生，即使年方二十，实
已垂垂老矣；然则只要树起天线，捕捉乐观信号，你就有望在八十高龄告别尘寰时仍觉希望。
My SchoolI am a student of Hope Middle School.My campus is big and beautiful.There are many tall trees and beautiful flowers.There is also a big playground.Our teachers are all very kind and friendly.They work hard and teach us very well.They take good care of us,but they are strict with us.There are forty-five students in our class.We all get on well with each other.At school,we learn many subjects,such as Chinese,maths and English.We try our best to learn them well.I love my school because it"s just like my home。

I only knew I need to work hard on my study and get good marks,that"s all,the rest is play.There is nothing more to worry about.That"s just the life of a simple student,the most stress is from the study,I only knew it will be very hard for my future if I didn"t get marks,I won"t have a good work with a high salary,there is no woman will marry to me.That"s all I knew about myself,I always go to play football or basketball with my friends at our spare time,or went to play County-Strike online.My life is so simple and free,since I study hard,and always get a good mark,I can get the trust from both my parents and the teachers,I think the good ability of self-control benefitted a lot in my student time.

Weather affects all of us in one way or another, directly or indirectly. For example, good weather makes people happy. Bad weather makes people sick and depressed. Be sides, on a fine day, one can go out for a walk or play a game in the open. On a rainy day, however, he can only stay indoors, in a word, weather is part of life for all of us.
The first thing that many people do after getting up is to see what the weather is like. With a knowledge of the weather people can arrange work and life of the day. If it is fine, he may decide to go on a picnic. If it is cloudy, he will have to take a raincoat or an umbrella with him when he is leaving the house. Whatever the weather may be, one tends to adjust his activities to it accordingly.
In order to know what the weather will he, special people are hired 1o provide this information. They collect data, analyze them and predict the weather of the coming day. This information, which is announced on the radio or on TV, is usually very accurate. Thanks to the efforts of those professionals, we can always know the weather in advance and get prepared for it.
天气
天气在这方面或那方面，直接或间接地影响着我们。譬如，好天气使人们心情舒畅，坏天气使人们心情抑郁。另外，天气好，人们还能外出散步或户外玩耍。而在雨天里，也只好呆在家里。总之，天气是我们生活的一部分。
起床后许多人要做的第一件事是看天气。知道天气情况的人就能安排一天的工作和生活了。如果天气好，他可能会决定去野餐。如果是阴天，他得在离开家时带件雨衣或带把雨伞。不管天气是好是坏，人们会根据天气来调整自己的活动。
为了知道天气情况，一些专门人才被组织起来提供天气信息。他们收集资料，分析资料，预测来日天气。这种在电台或电视台上发布的信息通常是很准确的。多亏了这些专业人员，我们才能够提前了解天气情况，并且为未来的天气变化做好准备。
Although friends make an impression on your life, they do not have the same influence that your family has. Nothing is as important to me as my family. From them, I learned everything that is important. I learned about trust, ambition, and love.Your family is with you forever. They are not going to leave you because they find another daughter they like better. They are not going to leave you because they think you are too much trouble. A family is permanent, while friends come and go.Your parents are your role models. They will encourage you to do your best, to push yourself, and to improve yourself. Friends want you to stay the same: they don"t want you to be different. A family is ambitious for you. Friends are not.Your family teaches you about love. A family"s love is not judgmental. They love you for everything you are. Friends may love you because you have a new car or because you go out with them on Saturdays. A family loves you. Friends only like you.Without my family, I wouldn"t know what to do. I wouldn"t feel as secure. I might not have the ambition to go to school. I probably would be afraid to love. My family is my greatest influence.。
